The Optimist Inland Championships 2013 at Grafham Water Sailing Club

The first UK Optimist ranking event saw some of the countries top youth sailors tried and tested at Grafham Water Sailing club for the annual Volvo Gill Optimist Inland Championship. Over 260 Optimist sailors, split across Main and Regatta fleets, enjoyed two days of tricky, competitive racing and were challenged in mixed sailing conditions. Five races were competed by the Main and seven by the Regatta fleet over the weekend of 17th and 18th May with moderate winds and speeds of up to 12 knots.
Dunkerque Plaisance win IRC Three Myth of Malham

Gill Race Team’s Dunkerque Plaisance, took line honours in IRC Three and the class win on corrected time in the RORC Myth of Malham Race.
New Race Team member, Björn Hansen is well positioned in 2nd place of the Open Rankings.
