Gabrio Zandonà

Profile

Having started his sailing career competing in the Optimist class at the age of eight, Gabrio finish 3rd at the 1990 World’s in Cascais. He jumped into the 420 class where he achieved great success. In 1994 he progressed into the 470 where he immediately became the best Italian sailor in the class and one of the best in the world. Gabrio still competes in the 470 class but has also joined the new catamaran Nacra 17’s as part of his 2016 Olympic campaign in Rio.
