Profile
After team racing together at University, Tom and Andy started campaigning the Scorpion in 2006. Both are products of the RYA youth squads (29er and Laser respectively) and were quickly on the pace winning the Silver Scorpion for the national travellers circuit and finishing 3rd at both the National and Inland Championships in their first year. In 2007, as part of the Gill Race Team, they were even closer at the Nationals missing out by just one point and then Tom finally picked up the trophy in 2008.
Main achievements Tom of 2011 were winning the Scorpion Nationals (making it a hatrick) and finishing 3rd at the Endeavour Trophy. After a last minute invite he came 7 out of101 at Salcombe Merlin Rocket week.
Looking ahead he is planning on competing in most of the big winter handicap events, Grafham Grand Prix, Steve Nicholson memorial race amongst others. Plans for the main season include Scorpions, Merlin Rockets and possibly Flying 15s.
