Row2Recovery 18 days in and still going strong

The Row2Recovery team are lying in third place as they race sixteen other crews across the Atlantic from the Canary Islands to Barbados. They slipped down to fourth for a brief period, after being caught by Atlantic 4 but a great night of rowing saw them stretch ahead once again into a clear in 3rd place position with 1551 nautical miles to go!

It was a fantastic morale boost for the boys to get a surprise phone call from HRH Prince Harry who praised their efforts. After 18 days at sea on their mission to row across the Atlantic, the daily grind of 12 hours of rowing continues to take its toll on the guys’ bodies. All of them are suffering from varying degrees of aches and pains due to the repetitive nature of what they’re doing.

The six-man team, with servicemen who have suffered life-changing injuries on Operations hope to complete the 3,000 mile journey by the end of January. In so-doing they will be raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for Forces Charities.
