Gill are the new official clothing partner for the RYA’s grassroots sailing scheme OnBoard (OB) which introduces thousands of youngsters to sailing and windsurfing across the country.

As part of this new exciting venture, sailing club’s and centres signed up to the programme are able to offer their OB volunteers and children exclusive discounts on essential Gill clothing and kit including rucksacks, hats, scarfs, gloves drybags, boots and t-shirts.

RYA Sport Development Manager Jon White said, “We are very excited to announce Gill as the official clothing partner for our OnBoard programme. Gill fit perfectly with the OB mission to get more youngsters out on the water-something that’s essential to the future of the sport”.

The new partnership will also see Gill providing clothing to the staff who deliver RYA participation programmes accross the country including Team15, Sailability and the Active Marina Programme.
Run by the RYA, OnBoard is a grass roots programme which introduces sailing and windsurfing to young people aged 8 to 18, through schools, youth groups and training centres.

Over a ten year period OnBoard aims to introduce a minimum of 500,000 children to sailing and windsurfing in the UK, converting over 10% of them into regular participants. So far it’s nicely on track.
